The First Supper

I had the first meal in my new apartment this evening. I went to the Japanese noodle shop downstairs (don't ask me what it's called; it's all written in Japanese). I ordered Miso Soup and Fried Dumplings. The dumplings were unbelievable and I think I will eat them every day, or at least once a week. The soup was very flavorful, but I don't think I'd order it again. It had too much of a vinegary taste for me, though I believe that is a flavor I will have to get used to while I am here. Either way, it was a lovely first supper, and I think I'm gonna like it here!

Oh, how I miss the Chinese dumplings. We had a hawker stand in Singapore where people lined up 2 hrs in advance to place their orders. You simply cannot get them the same here. And the vinegar they serve them with??? Figure out what it is and send me a case, please! So glad you're enjoying your adventure!
