Preparing for Africa
After two weeks of living in denial of both school work and travel work I need to do, I finally snapped out of it today. Why? Because today marks the 1 month countdown to my African Adventure, which I celebrated by going to the doctor. I came home with the following:
I've also started pre-packing. I still need rain gear, a camel back, 2 wicking t-shirts, a keyboard for my iPad, a pair of crocs, and a few other odds and ends. I am relieved to announce that I think I will be able to fit everything in my backpack, though it's gonna be tight! I am embarrassed to announce that I will look and smell awful for the 3 weeks I'm in Africa. Oh well.
Now, back to work! And by work, I mean get a pedicure and go see Avengers...again. I may be motivated to do travel work, but nothing can motivate me to do school work in May.
- 2 months worth of doxycycline for malaria
- 21 diamox pills for altitude sickness
- 2 refills of my regular prescription meds
- 1 sore arm from an Hepatitis A vaccination
- 1 address for Taiwan's CDC where I'll get vaccinated for typhoid, yellow fever, and rabies
